There are tons off different exercises you can do! Try mixing it up and use different modalities to avoid overuse of certain muscle groups and to use new ones!
Always stretch before and after exercise to avoid injuries
Resistance Training
My favorite! Helps maintain muscle mass and burns calories for a longer period of time.
This includes lifting weights, bodyweight exercises, isometric exercises, and resistance bands.
It targets multiple muscle groups
The best type of workout for toning and also my PCOS patients!
Cardio
This includes getting your heart rate up with different modalities which are different in duration, distance, and intensity.
Avoid running and walking if you have arthritis as weight bearing exercises will aggravate your arthritis
Biking and swimming are great exercises and also good for patients with arthritis.
Exercise has GREAT cardiovascular benefits. Helps with blood pressure, cholesterol, reduces blood sugar, improves sleep, burns calories, and also improves mental health.
When you start exercising you will get more hungry, prioritize snacking on protein!
